Biographical Notes:

“DEATH FROM HEART FAILURE. WIFE'S TRAGIC DISCOVERY. On Monday afternoon Mr Widdowson, as coroner, conducted an inquest into the circumstances of the death of Reginald William Dancey, who was found by his wife on Saturday evening dead in bed in his house at St. Clair. Sergeant Hodgson appeared for the police. Frances Josephine Dancey stated that she had been married to the deceased on March 4 of this year. He had been invalided home from the front on six months furlough, and had had a heart turn in her company in the street. He was 31 years of age, and was in the employ of Butterworth Bros. He went out with the Main Body, and returned to New Zealand in October last. He had told her that he had heart trouble as a result of being gassed. “
