Biographical Notes:

"Mr Frederick Charles Coveny, who died at Wellington on Wednesday from complications following influenza, wan a member of the staff of the Government Life Insurance Department. He was a number of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, having left New Zealand as a member of the 6th Reinforcements. He served on Gallipoli for a period, and was evacuated from the Peninsula on account of illness. He was for a long time under treatment in several of the British hospitals, and on his return to the Dominion was under treatment for a lengthy period. On his return to civilian life he joined the staff of the Government Statistician’s Office, and subsequently transferred to the Government Life."
