Biographical Notes:

Flying aerobatics in a captured German Albatross DV G56, which had been forced down over the western front and bought back to England, Clive was killed when he struck the water after mis-judging a dive or spin. He had over 30 flights on the Albatross, accused of using it "as his personal hack". In January 1917, he had made the first successful parachute jump from an RFC aircraft.
