Munster Heath cemetery is 11 kilometres north-east of the town of Munster,3 kilometres north of the main B51 road to Telgte and Osnabruck. From Telgte follow the B51 towards Munster, over the traffic lights and the junction with the L811, the road bears round to the left and after a short way, round to the right, the road then straightens up and passes through countryside with green to the right and the railway line to the left.
The first turning along here on the right is Lauheiderstrasse and this road leads to the civil cemetery 'Waldfriedhof Lauheide' At this junction is a green CWGC sign. Follow this road to the end and turn right. 150 metres along on the left is a vehicular entrance to Munster Heath War Cemetery. Turn into here and follow straight on to a T junction. Turn right then follow the signs to the CWGC plot.
Munster Heath was on the line of the Alllied advance across northern Germany in 1945 but the majority of those buried in the cemetery died while serving with the Army of Occupation after the German surrender.
Munster Heath Cemetery contains 589 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War. There are also 277 post war graves.
