Biographical Notes:

Four members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force were killed early this afternoon when an aircraft returning from a training flight to Wigram station crashed into a hillside at Motukarara. a little south of Christchurch. It is believed that the pilot, who was flying in heavy rain and low cloud, lost his bearings. The crew and their next of kin are as follow:—-Pilot-Officer Allan Leslie Marshall (Mrs E. S. Marshall, mother, Birkenhead, Aucland). L.A.C. William lan Lindsay (Mrs J. Lindsay, mother, Petone). L.A.C. Ronald Stephen Brooker (Mr S. C. Brooker. father. Rotorual. L.A.C. Brian Patrick Fitzgerald (Mrs N. E. Fitzgerald, mother, Riccarton, Christchurch).
