Biographical Notes:

Horace was with the landing force at Gallipoli on the 25^th April 1915.

Wounded, shot in the head, on the 28^th April, saw him evacuated to hospital at Heliopolis, Egypt, by the 2^nd May and placed on the “dangerously ill” list. Finally being removed from the list in mid-July, he was transported back home on the Willocra on the 28^th September 1915.
