Biographical Notes:

Raymond was the Wierless Operator aboard a Baltimore 2, on anti submarine patrol off the Egyptian coast. One engine cut out due to fuel starvation, causing the other to overheat. The plane crash landed on a beach 10 miles east of Rumana, The other 3 of the 4 crew survived. {For Your Tomorrow, Errol Martyn, Vol 1 p.258]
