Biographical Notes:

"A motor-car accident which occurred on the Rotorua-Tauranga road on Monday had a fatal sequel to-day, when Quartermaster-Sergeant Francis Moss Boord, aged 30, of the Burnham Military Camp, died of the injuries he received. The car, which was driven by deceased's brother, Raymond Boord, a soldier encamped at Ngaruawahia, struck a bank on the side of the road and overturned. Deceased, who was on leave, at the time, received serious back injuries, from which he died to-day. An inquest was opened before the district coroner. Mr. F. W. Piatts. today. Evidence was given by deceased's father. Mr. F. M. Boord. of Rotorua, and by Dr. C. Cook, of the Waikato Hospital staff. Dr. Cook said deceased died from a dislocated neck.
