Biographical Notes:

"Lance-Bombardier Desmond M. Bollons died in the Wellington Hospital early this morning following a collision between a car and a pylon in Customhouse Quay (Wellington) at 2 a.m. A companion. Mr L. Paul, a Haitaitai chemist, is progressing satisfactorily following concussion and facial injuries.

L/Bdr. Bollons was a son of the late Captain John Bollons, former master of the ship Tutanekai."
