Biographical Notes:

Taking off from Wigram on ‘steep turns and single engine’ exercises, 35 minutes apart,  the two Oxford aircraft, one flown by Keith Hodge and the other by Stuart Pettitt collided 3000ft above Halswell, when both aircraft executed turns without sufficient vertical separation.
