“SOLDIER PATIENT’S FUNERAL AT WAIPUKURAU
The funeral of the late James Ernest Peacock, who passed away suddenly at the Pukeora Sanitorium on Monday, 23rd inst., took place to-day. Deceased, who was 29 years of age, had seen 4½ years’ service as a chief motor mechanic in the late war in the Royal Navy. The funeral, which was largely attended, was carried out with military honours. A firing party, consisting of local returned men, attended. The Rev. A. W. Stace officiated at the graveside.
