“The death occurred in Wellington on Friday of Lieutenant Elliot Myers, son of Mr John Myers, the Terrace, Wellington, and brother of Dr. L. Myers, Wellington. Lieutenant Myers was born in Wellington and received his education at Wellington College. He was in business in Christchurch when the war broke out, and almost at once offered his services. He went to Greece with the New Zealand forces and there was wounded in both legs, one having to be amputated. Nevertheless, he made a good recovery in Egypt, and returned to New Zealand, where he regained a lot of his physical fitness. Death was attributable to heart failure. Lieutenant Myers, whose funeral took place yesterday morning, leaves a widow and two daughters, aged 12 and nine years. “
