Biographical Notes:

“A verdict in accordance with the medical evidence was returned by the coroner, Mr. F. W. Watts, at the inquest held to-day into the death of Richard  Moynihan, aged 22, a member of the New Zealand Engineers Company, Papakura. Deceased, who had been on leave from camp, was admitted to the Waikato Hospital yesterday afternoon from Ngaruawahia, and while undergoing an operation he collapsed and died. The coroner said deceased was in a critical condition when admitted and an urgent operation was necessary. This was carried out with due care.”
