Biographical Notes:

"Private Donald Melville, who died in the Military Hospital at Featherston from cerebro-spinal meningitis, was a Dunedin boy, well known as a keen cricketer and yachtsman. The body was brought down to Dunedin, and was buried with military honours." [Otago Witness, Issue 3322, 14 November 1917, Page 19]
