Biographical Notes:

"Private Bruce McBeath, a 19-year-old member of the First Battalion, Auckland Regiment, died in the Auckland Hospital this morning after a severe illness. A post-mortem will be held. Private McBeath, whose home is at Onerahi, Whangarei, had recently been working in the city and was living at Takapuna. He was taken ill shortly after being called up for training with tlie First Battalion at the Showgrounds. He was admitted to the hospital on July 10."
