Biographical Notes:

When landing his Barracuda ll on the HMS Unicorn, the left landing gear broke, causing the plane to skid off the flight deck into the sea. The accident happened near Sri Lanka (Ceylon). There was a report that he was buried at “Puttalam”, but this seems unlikely.
