Biographical Notes:

"A member of the Air Force at Wigram, Maurice Ingram Low, was killed instantly shortly after midnight when the motor-cycle he was riding collided head-on with a car at the corner of the Main South Road. Low, whose father lives in Christchurch, was riding back to Wigram when the accident occurred. The driver of the car was Eric Hemmingway, of 81 Awa Road, Wellington. He suffered only slight head and leg injuries and was treated as an outpatient at the hospital. "
