Biographical Notes:

"An inquest was held at Papakura yesterday by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, into the death of Private Richard Cole Lord, a despatch rider, who died on March 17. The evidence showed that while he was riding on March 14 his motor-cycle failed to negotiate a bend in the road and he fell. He was not found until 12 hours after the accident, and the injuries he had received resulted in his death. A verdict of accidental death was returned."
