Biographical Notes:

“The inquest into the death of Leading-Aircraftman Richard Edward Isaacs, aged 20, of Wellington, who was found burned to death in a hut in the railway yards at Cambridge on 14th October, was concluded before the coroner, Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., today. The coroner returned a verdict that deceased died while on duty at a depot, meeting his death through suffocation and burning when the depot was destroyed by fire. There was not sufficient evidence, he said, to establish the cause of the fire.” [Nelson Evening Mail, Volume 78, 17 November 1943, Page 2]
