Location Information:
Noordwijk is situated to the north of Den Haag on the coast. From the motorway 44 follow the signs for Noordwijk and the N206. In the town keep following the N206 and at the roundabout turn right in the direction of Noordwijk Binnen. Follow along Beeklaan and then Oude Zeeweg after passing the downs and an open space on the right. The Cemetery will be found on the right. The Commonwealth War Graves Plot is situated in a belt of trees overlooking the remainder of the Cemetery.
Historical Information:
The Commonwealth plot in Noordwijk General Cemetery contains 81 burials of the First World War, including 54 unidentified naval ratings. Of the 52 Second World War burials, 19 are unidentified. The plot also contains two Polish war graves.
