Biographical Notes:

"Mr. J. T. Harvey, of Petane, yesterday received word that this son, Driver T. S. Harvey, had died of pneumonia in France on May 27th. The deceased soldier was 21 years of age, and was well known in Napier. Before enlisting he was employed on Mr. B. Chambers' Pukumoana [sic] station at Te Pohue. He left Napier with the 4th Reinforcements (Mounted Rifles) and when he arrived in Egypt he was posted to the Army Service Corps, and later on told [sic] off to attend to the horses in Egypt.
