Biographical Notes:

Attempting to land on the deck of HMS Ayling, in the Indian Ocean, John Chittenden bounced the aircraft, catching the undercarriage on the barrier. He skidded along the flight deck into parked aircraft, taking another aircraft over the side and striking seven personnel on the deck. Four were injured and three died, including New Zealand Pilot , Roy Bisman
