Biographical Notes:

Private Matthew James Biggar, B Company, Twenty-second Reinforcements, committed suicide at Featherston Camp on Thursday evening by hanging himself to a tree with the cord of a rifle pull-through. An inquest was held at the camp yesterday, and a verdict of suicide was returned. Deceased was 23 years of age and unmarried.
