“Lieutenant Jack Pinckney, of King Edward's Horse, is reported to be missing. He is a son of Mr George Pinckney, of Glenaray station, Southland, and has been on active service ever since the outbreak of the war.” [Press, Volume LIV, Issue 16200, 1 May 1918, Page 8]
