A member of the Kiwi Concert Party, writing to a representative of the Hutt News by last mail, says: “We have just heard of the death at Lower Hutt of Hugh Bolton. He was a fine pal and a real asset to the Kiwis’ performances in Italy, and we were very sorry to hear of his death.” [Hutt News, Volume 20, Issue 24, 13 November 1946, Page 5]
