Biographical Notes:

"A member of the R.N.Z.A.F. was killed in a motor-cycle accident in Manurewa. He was Leading Aircraftman George Ernest Latham, 22, son of Mrs. G. Latham, Bucklands. Aircraftman Latham was stationed at an aerodrome near Auckland. His motor-cycle skidded, and he was thrown on to the concrete roadway, where he was run over by a passing motor-car. His death is believed to have been instantaneous."
