Biographical Notes:

"George Charles Powell, aged 34, a soldier, who recently returned from overseas service, collapsed and died suddenly at Timaru yesterday morning. An inquest was opened before the Coroner (Mr G. G. Chisholm). After evidence of identification had been given, the inquest was adjourned sine die. A post-mortem was ordered."
