Biographical Notes:

After completing aerobatics at 3000ft, part of the wing of his Tiger Moth began to fold back, then another part detached. The plane went into spin, crashing between 2 houses in Kaka St. Otahuhu, near the Railway workshops.  The accident was blamed on a faulty flying wire from the factory.
