Biographical Notes:

"Corporal Donald Bruce MacGregor, killed in action, was the son of Mr John MacGregor, of Elles Road, Invercargill, and was 27 years of age. After leaving the High School he entered the employ of Messrs W. Henderson and Co. He left with the Sixteenth Reinforcements, having previously passed the examination for a commission. Reverting to the ranks on joining the Main Body, he was promoted on the field to be a corporal. He was an enthusiastic player of golf and hockey."
