"DEATH FOLLOWS ACCIDENT

MAJOR D. CLIVE CROZIER Major David Clive Crozier died at 3.15 a.m. yesterday in the Christchurch Hospital, where he had been taken after an accident on Saturday afternoon. Major Crozier was the sole occupant of a car which struck a telegraph pole in Hagley avenue. An inquest was opened before Mr E. C. Levvey, Coroner, yesterday afternoon, and after evidence of identification had been given by Major Crozier’s father, it was adjourned. A post-mortem examination was ordered. Major Crozier was born in Auckland in 1903 the son of Mr David Crozier, and received part of his education at St. Andrew’s College, Christchurch. He was a past president of the Garage Proprietors’ Association and the Canterbury Aero Club, and took a keen and active interest in motoring, beach racing, and so on. He joined the Army soon after the war broke out and has been attached to headquarters in Christchurch with the rank of major. Major Crozier leaves his widow and a son at school."
