Biographical Notes:

"As a result of a bad wound received at Messines, Lance-Corporal Alfred Edward Innis, fourth son of Mr and Mrs A. Innis, of Wharepoa, succumbed on Wednesday. Deceased who belonged to the 16th Waikato Company, Ist Auckland Battalion, will be buried with military honours at 2 p.m. to-day."
