Location Information:
Thorney Island: From Portsmouth/London take the A27 towards Chichester and exit at Emsworth, then follow the A259. Thorney Barracks is signposted approximately 3 kilometres from the A27.
Visitors should report to the barrier at the Barracks with some ID, and they will then be given directions to the churchyard (visitors do need to drive).
Historical Information:
There are 52 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-45 war here, 1 of which is an unidentified airman of the R.A.F. There are 21 German Air Force men buried here and 1 non-war service burial.
