NB. Margaret Dennison Biggs is recorded as the mother of Norman Haycroft Biggs (DOB 20/10/1893 - registration number 1893/427), father NR. Margaret Dennison Biggs married (registration number 1902/1349) Samuel Earle on 08/01/1902. [NZWGT]

 

“Private Norman Biggs, who was killed in action in France on January 28, was born in Auckland, and was the adopted son of Mrs. M. D. Biggs, late of Te Aroha, but now of Mount Eden Road, Auckland. The late Private Biggs, was 24 years of age, and was educated at the Te Aroha State school and Paeroa High School. He entered the services of the Postal Department at Te Aroha and was stationed at Gisborne at the time of his enlistment.
